First, prepare the coffee and let it cool completely.
Mix the egg yolks with the sugar and whisk until you obtain a smooth, light, and fluffy cream.
Add the mascarpone and mix until homogeneous.
Add the alcohol to the mixture.
Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form and gently fold them into the cream using light circular movements. The cream should be light and airy.
Spread 2–3 tablespoons of the cream on the bottom of a dish of your choice.
Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee for about 2 seconds on each side. Be careful not to soak them too much. Arrange a layer of ladyfingers and cover with half of the cream. Add a second layer of ladyfingers and spread the remaining cream on top.
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
After chilling, remove the tiramisu from the refrigerator and dust it with cocoa powder. It is best to use a small sieve to obtain an even layer of cocoa.
